not to be rude but just bc you’re Black doesn’t mean you have a “reclaim” aesthetic hood just bc you grew up in a middle class white neighborhood and you were embarrassed to be compared to the stereotypes of black ppl like us who are low-income and ‘low class’, the door knocker earrings are not yours (and etc.) , they never were. Why y ‘ All can not retrieve raw ass broken ponytails and bangs of scene y ‘ All type used to rock to adapt to? Is there ‘ alls.

Why are you trying to divide blacks? your part of the problem

broke off the coast of ponytails is the problem. #EndBlackHairAbuseNow

Thus through your eyes, black girls of different socioeconomic status do not peut/should not be able to create links in the same? If you were not wearing door knockers when you were 12, u shouldn’t be able to wear them now?

Black culture is not monolithic.

What is interesting… I understand that completely, British Colombia, it can be considered like turning a class of black ppl in costumes (which is what I feel, BC. their class, key and Peele do, even as black men), but many middle-class black people were implicitly and explicitly shamed and institutionalized off embracing pieces of black culture , they have seen on television and their other relatives, expressed… Especially since so many black parents who make it to the class average force all kinds of anti-black respectability policy in their throats. Only since growing up and analysing things have a chance to be authentic to who they feel they are. When they do not align w / ordinary ideas of darkness, they are called becheuse, oreo, saddity and everything else…
